Senior Social Analytics Manager, YouTube Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
  • 5 years of experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
  • Experience managing research and measurement agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with qualitative research methods and approaches.
  • 5 years of experience with sampling, survey writing, and analysis of survey data including weighting and assessing data quality.
  • 5 years of experience with designing experiments, analyzing data from experiments, and summarizing findings.
  • 5 years of experience analyzing and manipulating data sets to leverage insights into presentations for stakeholders.
  • 3 years of experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and tools to work with data sets.
  • Proficiency in Tubular, CreatorIQ, or similar profile-based tools to track creator-level performance, video-level benchmarking, and emerging audience trends across the social ecosystem.

YouTube’s Social & Community team operates 24x7 online, representing the brand on the front lines of the internet, helping to shape public conversation, build community, scale support, and protect brand reputation. We have deep expertise in public community engagement, UGC programs, social care, social media crisis response, social intelligence, incident management, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will be a critical member of our global Social & Community team, enabling 24x7 crisis communications and reporting. You will leverage advanced social listening tools (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, etc.) to monitor, analyze, and report on emerging issues and brand escalations to inform executive decisions. You will conduct deep analyses and provide strategic direction to increase the overall efficiency of our social support operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead executive-facing social alerting and P0 incident response as an independent incident manager. Be able to engineer complex Boolean queries, architect analytics infrastructure, and present strategic findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Drive structural optimizations for global social support by extracting complex Sprinklr case data to uncover trends and build powerful, data-driven narratives for senior leadership.
  • Design and build innovative automated solutions for escalation management, including AI-powered workflows and advanced tooling to streamline global reporting and response efficiency.
  • Serve as a core authority on YouTube products, Creator ecosystems, and industry-wide social media conversations to inform high-level weekly internal intelligence reports.
  • Architect real-time dashboards and visual intelligence tools to transform raw social volume into actionable insights, guiding brand-level communications and global policy decisions.
