Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience in ARM, Servers, Operating Systems, Embedded Systems, C, and C++.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
- Experience with one or more of the following: Firmware, Kernel and Kernel Drivers.

Platforms Server Software drives the server technologies that power all of Google's products and services, including Gmail, Youtube, Search, Google Cloud and more.
In this role, you will unlock the full potential of Google’s custom silicon for our data centers. You will be a highly skilled and experienced Lead Arm Server Software Architect to join our growing team. You will be a recognized expert in Arm server architecture and Firmware (FW)/Driver stack platform standards, and software ecosystems. You will also play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of our Arm-based server solutions.
The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead the software architecture, design, development and testing of Arm-based server platforms.
- Drive innovation in Arm server architecture and contribute to the development of industry standards, and engage in pre-silicon Firmware/Software (FW/SW) development.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimization.
- Engage with cross organizational leads to co-develop roadmap.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of innovation.
