Group Developer Marketing Program Manager, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in marketing, working across one or more marketing fields (i.e., product marketing and developer marketing).
  • 7 years of experience in developer marketing.
  • 5 years of experience with people management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building and scaling global developer communities or large-scale ambassador programs.
  • Understanding cloud computing, AI/ML, and the modern developer landscape (e.g., containers, serverless, open-source).
  • Ability to operate as a leader, influencing and driving results across matrixed organizations at the executive level.
  • Excellent entrepreneurial and investigative mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, drive clarity, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, and comfort serving as an internal and external spokesperson.
  • Passion for technology, innovation, and empowering developers to build the future.

About the job

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction, roadmap, and business priorities for developer marketing at Google Cloud.
  • Manage, scale, and inspire a developer marketing team.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Advocate the needs and insights of our developer audience internally.
  • Build partnerships with executive leaders across Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, and Sales to ensure a cohesive and impactful developer experience.
