Business Finance Analyst, Media Incentives (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in an investigative environment including financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting or investment banking.
  • Experience in financial modeling or SQL and working with data.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks and projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in leading projects and producing insights to influence key stakeholders.
  • Excellent business judgement skills with the ability to communicate and engage with executive management teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills in an ambiguous environment.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

In this role, you will partner with Asia-Pacific (APAC) Go-To-Market (GTM) to drive commercialization of media incentive agreements with the key advertising partners. You will own the Finance workstream for Commercials Programs and work with a cross-functional team including Business, Operations or GTM, Accounting, Compliance and Legal to manage media incentives programs across advertising products such as YouTube. You will involve producing financially optimized Commercials, and projects and analysis to help the business leaders make operational decisions. You will manage Google’s media incentives programs including agreement modeling and accountability reviews. You should possess the ability to translate data into insights, using structured analysis to provide recommendations that influence decision-making at the executive level.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Provide finance guidance on the design and implementation of Google’s media incentives programs, to ensure they are driving growth, while minimizing cost, risk, and operational issues.
  • Lead problem-solving on performance of incentive programs, to generate concise recommendations to management.
  • Build a network with teams across business, operations and finance (e.g., business growth accounting) to manage investigative and operational questions.
  • Support the operational requirements of Google's media incentives programs in APAC including agreement modeling, approving commercial terms and agreements reviews.
