Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
  • Ability to communicate in English and French fluently to communicate with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with medium to large media companies.
  • Experience with digital video technologies and streaming platforms (i.e., YouTube, etc.).
  • Interest in and basic understanding of AI and AI tools (i.e., Gemini, ChatGPT, Notebook LM, etc.).
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Data pipeline (SQL) and basic coding skills.

As a member of the Partner Operations team, you'll analyze top issues facing our content creators, work with cross-functional teams to resolve them, and help manage support operations. Whether directly engaging with our biggest creators, surfacing problems to our technical teams, driving analytical insights, or liaising with vendors to provide stellar support, you'll drive reach, satisfaction, and resolution — making YouTube an exceptional user experience for everyone.

As a Partner Engineer, you will be a technologist working in a team that manages YouTube’s largest partnerships, optimizing implementations, driving new business opportunities, and seeking innovative solutions aiming to build excellent, successful, long-term partnerships. YouTube's Partner Engineering organization is a global organization dedicated to developing and managing partnerships with the biggest Media Companies working closely with the YouTube product, engineering, strategy, and content teams to address our partners' most pressing and complex technology challenges.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead projects and cross-functional efforts (e.g., product, engineering, business development, operations, marketing, etc.) and should be a motivated individual looking to solidify YouTube’s strategic partnerships with the largest traditional partners and the most successful new media partners that have grown large businesses almost exclusively on YouTube. You'll manage technical engagements with some of the biggest media companies and be responsible for the ongoing success and satisfaction of a portfolio of partners. You will also be instrumental in improving existing operations, commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and taking new initiatives from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of technical partnerships across various content verticals. Work closely with Business Development teams as the technical expert helping to discuss new agreements and empower partners to find success on YouTube.
  • Incubate and develop new and innovative product solutions to empower our content partners, solve technical challenges, drive internal efficiencies, and deliver impact across the business.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the flow of existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.
  • Perform implementation reviews, advocate for new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.
