Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, testing, and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience with working on frontend web frameworks for large-scale applications.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a goal for YouTube's web ecosystem, while pushing the boundaries of the state of the art frameworks. You will ensure that YouTube's web ecosystems are developed in a way that maximizes developer velocity. You will work to create APIs and frameworks that can be used by developers across web teams at YouTube. You will also work closely with other feature and infrastructure teams across YouTube to ensure that YouTube's web ecosystems are integrated and represented.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
