Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization including technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

It provides a simple effective API for application developers to make them highly productive. It helps build and manage the world's largest private network with highest effective bandwidth throughput and lowest cost per bit. The teams are working on products such as Arcus, Andromeda, Cloud Network Billing, Cloud Network Telemetry, PubSub, GSLB, DosServer, Cloud Network Control, DNS Services, gRPC and more. Developed by our team, gRPC is a highly successful open source project with over 200K stars and wide industry adoption.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute in all activities of Software (SW) development - ideation, MVP definition, design, delivery etc.
  • Have a bias for action, including effectively balancing product thinking, development, and continuous delivery in sprints.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers (PMs) and other Engineering (ENG) leads to define the technical direction for the team.
  • Design, build, and maintain the network infrastructure for Google's cloud-based services.
  • Work with other leads and managers (local and remote) to help drive strategy, new initiatives and define roadmap (e.g., partner teams would include SRE, Product Management, and key internal/external customers).
