Strategic Partner Manager, Channel Partnerships (English, Portuguese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with online advertising and ad platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, AdSense, AdMob).
  • Experience with channel, agency, or business development management.
  • Knowledge of digital trends (mobile, video) and ad networks/yield management.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer account management and C-level relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to develop data-driven solutions and navigating ambiguity.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our third-party partners with a focus on driving business and publisher satisfaction via ad business generation solutions.
  • Forecast and report business growth and other metrics, including tracking actual progress toward forecasts.
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities from a, financial and operational point of view while translating data into strategies for our third-party partners. Lead ad-hoc innovation projects to develop Google’s Channel Partnerships business.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, including the executive leadership team. Manage relationships with a broad spectrum of other functions, such as Product and gTech.
  • Manage primary relationships with Channel Partners at all levels. Manage and maximize business growth through Google’s products.
