Venture Capital Business Development Executive, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience as an operator at startups, or investing in startups.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing products and technologies within Cloud or SaaS sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of the early stage startup community and tech ecosystem.
  • Ability to engage with executives and with technical leaders.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence the stakeholders.
  • Excellent business development and collaboration skills.

About the job

In this role, you will engage with early-stage Venture Capitals (VC) in the region to improve the potential startups globally. You will collaborate with Google teams to focus on startups across Google Cloud and Alphabet, foster Google Cloud Platform (GCP) usage among VC portfolio companies through engagement and interventions with the VC funds, and facilitate business partnership with Cloud’s Startup and Business Teams. You will be an essential VC and Startup community go-to and Google Cloud representative.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000-$257,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted expert advisor to Venture Capital General Partners, leading initiatives that accelerate the success of their portfolio companies.
  • Facilitate access to Google Cloud and Google products and services for the VC and startup ecosystem.
  • Engage founders to drive pipeline and business growth opportunities for Google Cloud in partnership with the Startup Success and Business Teams.
  • Co-lead regular reviews with VCs on their portfolios.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver events, content and offers to VCs and startups.
