About the job

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

The Cloud Supply Chain team is chartered to provide systems and analytics enabling faster decision making and throughput time for Google Cloud's Supply Chain. The team’s work will contribute to the ongoing product, process, and capability growth to ensure Google can continue to meet market and competitive goals.

Responsibilities

  • Execute analytical programs that deliver on cost savings efficiencies planning, requirements, and work with Cloud Supply Chain teams to elicit and shape functional analytical requirements and translate them into technical efforts.
  • Work cross-functionally with global geographically distributed program managers, data engineers, and data scientists to identify, implement, and deploy data engineering solutions.
  • Establish an operations measurement framework and data engineering globally and create and execute a long-term strategy thereafter.
  • Manage a team of technical program managers to build tools and processes to improve global data operations, data governance, data quality, and business analytics.
