Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in consumer devices or medical devices in a technical role such as solutions architect, business engineer, quality engineer, or solutions consultant.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience in project or program management in working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with consumer electronics or medical device product development processes.
- Experience in sustaining product quality.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4 years of experience in partner management, including project, escalation and product partnerships.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Data analytics, AI/ML, and IoT technologies, Quality Management Systems (21 CFR 820; ISO 9001) Cloud computing platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) Root Cause Analysis (CAPA; 8D) Product Life-cycle Management (e.g., Team center).
- Experience in creating functional design documentation within the software development life-cycle.
- Experience with software development methodologies.
- Ability to track records of successfully influencing business requirements to meet stakeholder and organizational needs.
About the job
As a Senior Solutions Consultant under the Systems team, you will be a functional lead and trusted advisor, working closely with our Engineering teams to drive the adoption and success of Google's solutions impacting consumer hardware quality. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and industry knowledge to understand customer needs, architect compelling solutions, and demonstrate the value of Google's technologies. This is a highly visible and impactful role, requiring a strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering solutions from idea to launch for our stakeholders across all business units within the consumer hardware product area. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering and Operations to leverage emerging technologies for our partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution of Google's internal engineering tools used to impact product quality.
Additionally, you will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of various business units within Google, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert and point of contact for complex customer engagements within consumer devices (Pixel, Hearables, Accessories, and Watches).
- Understand customer business objectives, technical landscapes, and challenges to develop tailored solutions leveraging a product portfolio within the Systems team.
- Lead technical discussions and presentations with C-level executives, engineering leaders, and technical stakeholders, effectively communicating the value proposition and technical differentiation of the Systems team’s solutions.
- Architect and design scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that address specific customer requirements and integrate seamlessly with their existing infrastructure.
- Develop and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and prototypes to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Google's offerings.
