Technical Program Manager, Strategic Programs, Security and Privacy

Minimum qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team programs/projects.
  • Technical experience with privacy, security, or compliance.
  • Experience managing security projects/programs.
  • Technical experience delivering security solutions and managing programs.
  • Experience working on cloud based services.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in end-to-end technical and product program management.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and succeed at a fast-paced of change.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and a data driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and leverage strong, effective relationships with our customers and partners to define and solution challenges to reduce security-related risk for the company.
  • Connect the dots and be the advocate across products, tools and across key partners to influence the team's vision and strategy, including CUJs. This includes partnerships with engineering teams (EIP-OG and ISE) and partnerships with product areas.
  • Drive large, complex cross-functional projects to deliver lasting impact, managing schedules, program plans, risks and issues, and prioritizing product/feature development, enhancements and delivery.
  • Create a collaborative work environment within the team that fosters transparency, autonomy, innovation, and learning.
