Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience in management consulting, real estate, investment banking, finance, or similar environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in FP&A, financial modeling, planning, forecasting, budgeting or project management with demonstrated process improvement and results delivery.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization skills (e.g., design, build business performance reports and data visualization dashboards)
  • Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and providing grounded recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate colleagues and collaborate effectively to influence executive leadership.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

As a Financial Analyst, you will work with the Real Estate team to plan, manage, analyse and make investment decisions to support Googler office spaces around the world. You are up to date with the latest economic and industry trends and apply knowledge around rates of return and investment performance to the projects at hand. You will work on multiple projects at a time, and be able to focus on the details while finding creative ways to address challenges.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance Point of Contact (POC) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Real Estate allocations, overseeing sign-offs and collaborating with Central and Product Area Finance teams on all reporting, forecasting, and planning updates.
  • Own the allocation logic and methodology, proactively performing analysis to drive ongoing improvements and ensure the model evolves in alignment with changing business strategies.
  • Act as the key interface for Product Areas (PAs), fielding allocation-related questions and providing the financial analysis needed to clarify costs and support their internal strategy development and planning.
  • Support evaluation of strategic Bay Area real estate decisions of purchases, leases, and construction projects, driving independent analysis to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Manage multi-billion dollar opex, capex and project budgets, including approvals, financial planning, and identifying opportunities for process optimization.
