Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with software program management.
  • Experience with C/C++, Java, Python, or Go programming languages.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Japanese, and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

About the job

The YouTube Partner Engineering team accelerates YouTube’s Product and Business strategies by working closely with our partners across Music, Connected TV, Devices, Measurement, Gaming, News and Media as well as internal Product, Engineering and Business teams. Our global team of Partner Engineers and Operations Specialists provide advanced technical solutions, exceptional digital content operations, systems integration and management, and proactive partner engagement to make it easy for our partners to engage with our platform at scale, and to empower amazing user experiences across YouTube's products and platform (YouTubeTV, YouTube Premium and Music, YouTube on TV and Auto, YouTube Primetime Channels, marquee live events, etc).

As a Partner Engineer, you will manage partner success and business growth by understanding the YouTube Shopping stack, engaging with e-commerce platforms and identifying technical integration paths. You will manage technical engagements, design operational frameworks and shape product goals by sharing partner feedback to enhance live Shopping's product-market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of YouTube shopping, Google commerce and e-commerce analytics to identify and manage growth opportunities in collaboration with product and business teams.
  • Understand the business context and internal engineering platforms to help shape partnership and product strategy and drive business growth.
  • Manage the technical aspects of a partner’s integration, both new and ongoing by providing the necessary documentation and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with various product teams on feature request prioritization as well as long-term product roadmap.
  • Drive operational excellence by creating a scalable model for enterprise developer engagement and relationships and reviewing partner agreement terms to ensure YouTube delivers on commitments based on existing product features.
