Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience working with Java, API development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience implementing, customizing or integrating third-party applications within business enterprise software.
- Experience with supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of software implementation life-cycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
- Excellent people management, communication and investigative skills with a demonstrable bias toward action.
About the job
You lead all aspects of web development, requirements gathering, software development, testing, documentation, training, implementation, ongoing support, and maintenance for both in-house and customer-facing web applications. You will work closely with a cross-functional team of Googlers using UI and functional specs/prototypes as input. You are empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate to meet user and customer needs.
In this role, you will deliver intelligent supply chain solutions through innovation for the Alphabet. You will propel the supply chain through automated business processes, leveraging industry best practices and information orchestration. You will scale supply chain planning and order management by minimizing human touch points, SKU visibility, automated response to forecast and supplier collaboration excellence and inventory optimization strategies.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams to define and implement solutions that improve internal business processes.
- Identify, assess, estimate, and solve complex business challenges, where analysis of situations/scenarios or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors including security.
- Develop, build, and deploy applications using various platforms and technologies. Work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain highest levels of development practices including: technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.
