Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience owning aspects of the course production process, including training needs analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages.
- 4 years of experience in learning design.
- Experience in creating digital interactive experiences that are memorable, delightful and engaging.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience identifying process improvements and quantifying impact.
- Experience collaborating with complex, high-visibility, time-sensitive projects with a cross-functional team.
- Expertise in writing for video production (video scripts) and in-person presentations (facilitator scripts).
- Understanding of graphic design, video production and other elements of the creative process and experience delivering creative feedback.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with highly technical subject matter experts to develop training content and curricula, including on emerging areas like AI.

As a Learning Experience Designer (LXD), you will create learning experiences in a variety of formats. These learning experiences will cover a range of topics and products for new entrants to the workforce, as well as existing workers looking to upskill, and will vary from technical to non-technical in nature.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing a course or program’s learning experience from start to finish. Your key deliverables might include drafting a detailed syllabus, writing video scripts, developing video storyboards, writing facilitator slides, creating readings, building assessments, all while ensuring that course quality standards are upheld.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Build relationships with core subject-matter experts and ingest primary source information to design detailed syllabuses that align with the overall content learner objectives, and ensures accuracy by engaging appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the project life cycle.
- Develop learning assets to deliver effective and differentiated learning experiences.
- Review all course assets from initial approved drafts to pre/post-production, ensuring that it matches audience needs, learner objectives and Google and Grow with Google brand and quality standards.
- Seek out new learning solutions and approaches from within the company and in the industry, and apply innovative ideas to projects and the team at large.
