Head of Data Cloud Strategy and Operations

  • 10 years of experience in go-to-market strategy, sales operations, strategy and operations, management consulting, finance, or program management.
  • Experience leading a team, managing rhythm of business activities, such as annual business planning, headcount management, running business reviews, or goal setting.
  • Experience in building, managing, and developing teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Cloud, Enterprise IT, or specifically within Big Data and AI/Analytics sectors.
  • Experience navigating complex organizations and influencing executive leadership.
  • Ability to build and land long-term roadmaps in a technical environment.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable business insights and pivots.
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives for executives through structured presentations and data visualization.

About the job

The Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Business Strategy and Operations team provides business-critical insights, ensures cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations and help evolve early-stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As the Head of Data Cloud Strategy and Operations in EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the direction of the Data Cloud organization, covering data analytics, cloud-native databases, Looker, and Apigee. Collaborating closely with the EMEA Data Cloud leadership team, you will act as a trusted advisor for the Regional Data Cloud Sales Leader and their leadership team, driving the business forward through strategy development, effective planning, operational excellence, and the execution of high-growth strategies. You will also be a member of the EMEA Strategy and Operations leadership team, leading a team of three direct reports responsible for driving strategy and operations within their respective domains. You are excited about solving problems, working with data ecosystems, and finding solutions to help the broader team succeed. You are a natural collaborator, able to facilitate cross-functional alignment between technical teams and commercial stakeholders. You have an appetite for in-depth insights to help shape strategy and plans, combined with a coaching mindset and the courage to issue the status quo.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a point of view to identify priorities, risks, and pivots beyond the immediate organization. Implement Data Cloud organizational design, growth initiatives, and objectives and key results (OKRs) with the EMEA leadership team.
  • Accelerate regional Data Cloud adoption and technical efficiencies while scaling business operations through proactive growth strategies.
  • Drive forecast accountability by challenging leadership to improve accuracy and CRM hygiene. Optimize the operational cadence and reporting frameworks to track business health.
  • Lead business reviews and annual planning to drive executive decision-making. Drive global collaboration and best-practice sharing to track goal progress.
    Resolve performance gaps through bridge plans to ensure alignment.
  • Cultivate a culture through guidance, coaching, and mentorship for a team of three. Enable growth opportunities within the unit and across the broader Strategy and Operations team.
