Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Experience in the digital music/music industry.
  • Experience managing a product life-cycle.
  • Ability to work in a customer facing or partner facing role.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

The YouTube Partner Engineering team accelerates YouTube’s Product and Business strategies by working closely with our partners across Music, Connected TV, Devices, Measurement, Gaming, News and Media as well as internal Product, Engineering and Business teams. Our global team of Partner Engineers and Operations Specialists provide advanced technical solutions, exceptional digital content operations, systems integration and management, and proactive partner engagement to make it easy for our partners to engage with our platform at scale, and to empower amazing user experiences across YouTube's products and platform (YouTubeTV, YouTube Premium and Music, YouTube on TV and Auto, YouTube Primetime Channels, marquee live events, etc).

The YouTube Partner Engineering team delivers support for products including YouTube Music, YouTube TV, YouTube Living Room, and for platforms such as shopping, mobile devices, TVs, and third-party audience measurement. The team delivers solutions to help the entertainment industry, consumer devices, and audience measurement partners provide product quality across the digital ecosystem.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with partners and work with the Business Development, Operations, Product and Engineering team to make sure these partners are successful on YouTube.
  • Identify, drive, and optimize business growth from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.
  • Perform implementation reviews, lead new product features and new internal tools, and ensure the resolution of technical challenges working with the product and marketing teams.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
  • Apply technical and project-management knowledge to understand data.
