Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in AutoCAD, managing projects in data center construction or commercial construction.
- 1 year of experience in space planning for enterprise data center spaces.
- Experience with process implementation and solving technical issues.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience managing data center constraints.
- Experience with two or more of the following: server hardware and software, network hardware and software, data center infrastructure and operations, or mechanical and electrical systems.
- Experience as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
- Experience in AutoCAD Drafting, Revit Drafting, LISP, Scripting and Automation, Construction Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Fiber OSP/ISP Engineering, or Large-Scale Project Management.
- Knowledge of data center physical layouts, infrastructure, and standards (e.g., power, space, cooling, operations and network).

As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will be the initial point of our efforts to execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will work with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, Field Engineers within Google, as well as construction and telecommunications vendors and contractors, all to position your team and organization for success.You will facilitate faster, better, and more efficient, positive outcomes for the business and our customers. Your objective will be to build the world’s most reliable, cost-effective and scalable network to support all of our current and future customers and users globally. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Responsibilities
- Support design and delivery of large, complex projects, managing data center constraints (power, space, cooling, operations and network).
- Draft Statement of Work (SoW) designs and contribute to the data center (DC) telecom designs for new DC projects build outs, infrastructure upgrades, and augments.
- Support design decisions, focused particularly on upcoming transitions in the machine learning and accelerators space. Build plans to help smoothly transition between successive product generations.
- Promote standards and policies to simplify deployability of infrastructure to support new machine learning and accelerator products across multiple Product Areas (PAs). Understand entry level electrical engineering concepts related to deployments in Data Centers.
- Build relationships with cross-functional teams. Document and drive process adoption, especially regarding coordination and collaboration across internal engineering resources.
