Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, such as Java or Kotlin.
- 2 years of experience with Android application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with Kotlin, MVVM architectures, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience successfully launching an Android app through the Play Store.
- Experience working with embedded systems or within the Android Auto/TV/Wear ecosystems.
- Experience working on or using AR/VR devices.

This includes providing form-factor-specific insights (think tailored ratings and screenshots) and innovating solutions that align with Google's "Better Together" goal, making all your devices work seamlessly.Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Implement features for the Play Store app, focusing on cross-form-factor.
- Write product or system development code to build robust and scalable solutions.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, making critical decisions about technology choices and architectural approaches.
- Review code developed by other engineers, providing feedback to ensure best practices and maintainability.
- Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing their sources and impact.
