Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more of the following Google Cloud services within a Retail context: VertexAI, BigQuery, BigTable, Spanner, Dataflow, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Compute Engine.
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence applications (e.g., deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or pattern recognition), applied machine learning techniques, or using OSS frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, a related engineering field.
  • Understanding of the current state of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics.
  • Excellent communication, written, presentation and problem solving skills.

About the job

As a Solutions Architect focused on Generative AI for retail, you'll guide customers in implementing best practices and creating solutions using AI. This includes Agentic applications, Generative Media for marketing, and AI-powered catalog data enrichment. You'll direct the reliable and safe production deployment of these AI workloads.

Within Google Cloud's Solution Engineering, you should know software and cloud-native development and manage multiple projects. A key task is to work with customers, field teams, solutions, and Google engineering to produce secure, scalable Gen AI solutions. You'll share these through white papers, open-source, webinars, videos, blogs, and presentations. Your passion for tech, learning, and problem-solving, along with customer enthusiasm, will empower decision-makers to adopt Google Cloud.

You'll communicate with businesses to help them adopt Google products on their cloud journey. You'll explore and experiment with our Gen AI suite to build and deploy cloud solutions for retail use cases, providing feedback to product teams while developing architectures, best practices, and adoption strategies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and scale technical assets showcasing Google Cloud's value for retail, with emphasis on Generative AI like agentic apps, marketing media, and AI data enrichment to drive customer growth and efficiency.
  • Align with stakeholders across product, solution, and content teams, as well as customers, ensuring strategic, market-aligned assets that integrate into Go-To-Market initiatives.
  • Create reusable assets, including reference architectures and open-source code, guiding Gen AI implementation in retail.
  • Using retail and cloud expertise, you'll convert challenges into open-source technical solutions for intelligent agents, synthetic media, and enhanced product information.
  • Represent the retail customers, feeding back to Product teams to shape future AI solutions.
