Technical Program Manager, Data Center Systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience managing projects in a technical/software engineering environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with launching software automation tools.
  • Experience in data centers, mission critical or manufacturing facilities operations or projects.
  • Experience in detailed analysis and big picture thinking while customizing communication based on the audience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and facilitation skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

We are the team of experts in systems architecture, interactions, and debug that will help maximize innovation, throughput time and automation for Cloud Supply Chain and Server Operations (CSCO) teams. We are hyper focused on the CSCO users and are the single voice to product and engineering teams (GCI, Platforms, DCIM, SRE) to collaborate effectively on product strategy, research, requirements, development practices, make vs. buy decisions, issues management, and feedback.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross functional team driving design, development, and deployment of data center repair and maintenance software systems across the world.
  • Manage End to End (E2E) product life-cycle of software tools for Datacenters that drive industry leading uptime.
  • Manage product documentation (Business Requirements Doc, Pilot Plan, etc.), phase gate reviews, communication and user feedback collection at various stages in the life-cycle (e.g., User Acceptance Testing, User Surveys, Critical User Journeys).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders ensuring accountability for planning, providing visibility into resource needs and intake management of new features or requirements.
  • Lead the collaboration among Engineering, Product Management, Operations and Fleet Deployment teams to ensure regional and global alignment on strategic product and technology roadmaps.
