We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our Search Qualification Platform team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in working towards building smart solutions that would radically enhance the search developer experience powered by Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). You will be a driving force in evolving our technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that impact users.

Be part of the team that fuels Google Search, a product critical to Google's growth, brand, and business. As part of the Search Qualification Platform (SQP) within the Search Platforms team, you'll build the critical infrastructure and tools that empower 6,000+ Search engineers to develop and ship code with unprecedented velocity and high reliability using GenAI.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build effective solutions to solve developer pain points for Search feature development.
  • Lead technical initiatives, driving projects from conception to launch in collaboration with cross-functional teams across Search.
  • Address technical problems and develop innovative solutions that enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of Search platform.
  • Communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Be willing to manage with ambiguity and learning new technologies
