Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in Micro-LED research, development, or manufacturing with a focus on LED performance improvement and optical design.

Experience with color conversion methods for LEDs, including quantum dots or phosphors.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, Materials Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on semiconductor optoelectronics and photonics.
- Experience with LED characterization techniques (e.g., electrical, optical, spectral measurements) and optical simulation tools.
- Experience in designing and optimizing LED structures for enhanced efficiency and brightness.

Strong knowledge of light extraction techniques and micro-optic design principles for LEDs.

Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics, particularly related to III-nitride materials and LED fundamentals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing device performance and optical output.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Drive innovation in Micro-LED device design and fabrication processes with a primary focus on improving Internal Quantum Efficiency (IQE), External Quantum Efficiency (EQE), Light Extraction Efficiency (LEE), and wavelength stability.

Lead the research and development of advanced light extraction structures and micro-optic integration strategies to maximize light output and control light distribution from Micro-LED arrays.

Explore and implement innovative color conversion methods using quantum dots, phosphors, or other advanced materials to achieve wide color gamut and high color purity in Micro-LED displays.

Design and optimize micro-optic components (e.g., microlens arrays, diffusers, beam shapers) for integration with Micro-LED arrays to improve optical performance and viewing angles.

Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Micro-LED device physics, optical design principles, and related materials science.
