Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with consumer electronics (i.e. phones, tablets, watches, etc.) development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in modem/telephony, radio systems, antenna design, wireless communications, cellular network infrastructure, radio access network technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G), or carrier certification and industry standards.
  • Experience in hardware engineering, software integration, NPI/Manufacturing, or consumer electronics.
  • Experience in product launch technical readiness.
  • Experience with Android or related OS, software release management, and related process standards.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

As a Program Manager on Pixel Carrier Testing and Certification team, you will be working with on-time certification and testing reports delivery. You will consolidate all the Carrier Certification and test reports requirements with the consideration of the goal timelines to draft certification and testing schedules. You will make sure the testing start and end date is secured. You will maintain regular updates from the external parties and also share the latest updates with the internal teams. You will collaborate with development teams for troubleshooting and assist them to fix the issues efficiently and effectively.The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Carrier Type approval (TA) process including Carrier requirements delivery, sample management, certification schedule, and packaging requirements, for Pixel products including wearables.
  • Consolidate all the Carrier Certification and test reports requirements with the consideration of the goal timelines to draft certification and testing schedules.
  • Collaborate with Wear OS and software teams to triage and prioritize Carrier-related issues.
  • Anticipate issues and propose solutions, manage dependencies and cross-functional issues, and identify the need to develop or improve tools/processes.
  • Collaborate with the launch team to optimize the On-shelf date for the product.
