Security Sales Manager, Northern US, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software or cloud space.
  • Leadership experience within a quota-carrying team, such as people management, team lead, mentorship or coaching.
  • Experience selling cybersecurity cloud solutions to clients, particularly within the Canadian market.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling cybersecurity solutions or services.
  • Experience working with channel partners.
  • Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry and ecosystem, including key players, trends, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and its security offerings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.

About the job

As a Security Sales Manager at Google Cloud, you will lead a team of high-performing Security Sales Specialists within the Northern US region. This is a critical management role combining regional responsibilities with a key industry vertical. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team, driving revenue growth, and collaborating closely with Cloud Sales teams to achieve ambitious targets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $170,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of Security Sales Specialists, providing regular coaching, development, and performance feedback.
  • Drive revenue growth within the Northern US region, focusing on both existing accounts and new business opportunities, and stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned quotas and accurately forecast sales pipeline and revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Sales teams to identify and qualify opportunities, and ensure seamless customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at enterprise clients within the assigned region and industry, as well as act as an advocate for culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer obsession within the team.
