Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 5 years of experience programming in C++, and web technology such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience debugging kernel, such as investigating crashes/hangs, or investigating performance regressions.
- Experience incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies with knowledge of building accessibility best practices.
- Experience with software performance measuring and optimization.

Managing the Chrome Accessibility team, you will help us make Chrome universally accessible and useful. Our team builds features and APIs that give people with disabilities access to the web. We’re focused on opening new experiences and possibilities for these users.
Chrome is dedicated to building a better, more open web. We’re focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way.Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.
Responsibilities
- Manage and review C++ code development for Chrome on Android, providing feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Collaborate across Chrome and the web platform to improve the experience for users with disabilities. Set and communicate team priorities, and align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Lead and influence the technical goals and roadmap within the scope of your teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and needs.
- Help the team triage accessibility regressions in Chrome, and participate in team discussions, technical design, and code reviews as needed.
- Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
