About the job

As Product Management Director on the Creator & Data product team, you’ll be responsible for the primary platform creators use to manage their YouTube businesses — YouTube Studio. You’ll give weekly active creators the tools they need to express themselves creatively, grow audiences, and build careers on YouTube. Your work will span everything from complex analytical tools for established creators, to casual creation journeys like managing your first YouTube Short.

You’ll also be responsible for YouTube channel pages — some of the most trafficked pages on YouTube and the primary way creators represent themselves to the world — and creator messaging — our scaled communications platform for creators.

As the primary platform for creators, Studio is also at the intersection of many creator-facing features and initiatives across YouTube. In this role, you’ll balance feature development on your own team with the development of platform capabilities and support for priority projects across YouTube.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities

  • Own the cross-Youtube strategy, roadmap, and business plan for Studio and develop and lead a disciplined product development process from ideation to launch, translating user needs into product requirements.
  • Be a great communicator and storyteller. Build a strong product narrative which clearly articulates the motivation for your project, goals, and path to success.
  • Engage key stakeholders to influence and coordinate across product area boundaries to ensure effective solutions delivery and measurable business impact.
  • Balance competing priorities and facilitate resource trade-offs to enable YouTube’s most strategic priorities.
  • Lead amd grow a highly capable team of PMs to achieve the annual goals (both business and organization), including driving sustainable longer-term impact.
