Technical Account Manager, Play Partnerships, Global Business Consulting

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python, etc.).
  • 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a technical management, computer science, or engineering field.
  • Experienced with managing collaboration across business and technical stakeholders internally and with external partners.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, REST APIs, SQL.
  • Experience in developing mobile apps or games.
  • Experienced in the commerce industry with billing/payment systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and management skills, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.

About the job

The Global Business Consulting (GBC) team identifies growth opportunities in partners’ products and markets, and uncovers improvement opportunities through technical integration and product adoption. As part of GBC, Technical Account Managers (TAM) are equal parts technical consultants and relationship managers. TAMs have an understanding of the connection between partners’ business and technical needs, and collaborates closely with internal Google Play product and engineering teams to prioritize and bring innovative technical solutions to drive partner business success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance, timelines, milestones and best practices to mobile app and game developers to accelerate and de-risk product adoption.
  • Create custom solutions through partner requirements gathering and mapping, solution strategy formation, scoping, development and testing.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to validate complexity product bugs and drive towards resolution.
  • Proactive engage partners in business growth opportunities enabled by new feature rollouts and technical optimizations.
  • Develop best practices and assets based on learnings from partners engagements to help support and scale initiatives
