Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of security work experience, e.g., security operations, systems administration, digital forensics, security engineering, privacy engineering, incident or emergency response coordination.
- Experience in customer facing incident response roles, e.g., Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), consulting, (Security Operations Center) SOC, etc.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in a specialized security operations domain, e.g., Digital Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Malware Analysis, Incident Management, Threat Intelligence etc.
- Familiarity in defensive engineering, implementing tools such as: Security Information and Event Management(SIEM), Intrusion Prevention System / Intrusion Detection System (IPS/IDS), Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) tools, security detection, etc.
- Familiarity with one or more programming/query languages, Python, Go, C/C++ and/or Javascript, Bash, Powershell, SQL etc.

As a Technical Program Manager, you'll be central to safeguarding Google's infrastructure and users. This role involves leading critical security response initiatives, expertly managing complex escalations, and continually enhancing our security posture. You will lead cross-functional security response efforts, managing multiple simultaneous initiatives and escalations with competing priorities, while ensuring consistency across Cloud and central security programs. You'll serve as the go-to technical expert for broad security domains, understanding the intricate interplay of threats across various systems and services. Using your technical judgment, you'll drive outcomes, conduct thorough technical reviews, challenge proposals, and build consensus by combining security analyst and engineering skills. You'll also consistently drive positive change aligned with business objectives, collaborating to uplift overarching security capabilities, and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders across Google, including legal, engineering, and communications teams, to foster a collaborative security environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Manage multiple cross-functional efforts and escalations simultaneously with competing priorities. Drive consistency between Cloud and central processes.
- Serve as the go-to person for broad security domains and understand the interplay of threats between systems and services.
- Use technical judgment to drive outcomes, technical reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus with a combination of security analyst and engineering skills.
- Demonstrate consistent ability to drive positive change in alignment with business objectives, and collaborate with teams to uplift overarching security capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Google, including legal, engineering, and communications teams.
