Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
- 8 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
- Experience with people management or mentoring.
- Ability to travel 30% of the time domestically or internationally.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal partners and customer teams.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in one or more of the following, such as SANS GIAC certification (e.g. GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN), ISC2 (CISSP), ISACA (CISM).
- Experience developing and communicating remediation and strategic recommendations to technical staff, executive leadership, legal counsel, and internal and external clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Our Security Consultants on the Security Transformation Services team remediate security incidents quickly, effectively, and at scale with complete incident response including investigation, containment, remediation, and crisis management. Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a recognized leader in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence and incident response services. By scaling decades of frontline experience, Mandiant helps organizations to be confident in their readiness to defend against and respond to cyber threats.
As a Principal Consultant in Mandiant's Security Transformation Services team, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and respond to cyber security threats. You will have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud platform architecture, corporate enterprise architecture, and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.
In this role, you will assist clients to navigate, remediate, and recover from technically complex and high-profile incidents, lead and deliver security transformation engagements, and be the technical advocate for information security requirements and best practices. You will articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical teams. This role will manage and mentor other consultants, providing career growth and situational guidance.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise architecture and cloud platform transformation engagements, in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and client executive and technical teams.
- Develop and execute solutions for clients and present accurate reports, training, and presentations for technical and executive audiences.
- Guide, mentor, and help develop the technical and consulting skills of direct reports and other consultants, focused on excellence and team collaboration. Review work product prior to release to clients to ensure it is error-free and accurate.
- Lead and coordinate assessments for cloud-based and on-premise security infrastructure, identity and access management, resiliency, and overall client security posture improvement and sustainability.
- Provide incident response remediation support for active incidents.
