Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- Experience managing the software product development life-cycle.
- Experience contributing to AI/ML-based feature development.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in navigating ambiguity, identifying and mitigating risks, and managing dependencies.
- Experience with leadership across organizational and team boundaries.
- Knowledge of large language models, with knowledge of multi-turn conversations or model behavior.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to audiences, both technical and nontechnical, including executive leadership.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Define, own, and drive governance and execution for ambiguous programs critical to gUP. Lead the life-cycle from concept and technical feasibility to global deployment and optimization.
- Influence and align product leadership and key stakeholders across gUP and partner organizations on program ideas, priorities, resource allocation, and technical direction.
- Navigate the evolving generative AI landscape to anticipate technical blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure scalable conversational AI architectures.
- Drive improvements in organizational effectiveness, team processes, and cross-functional collaboration to establish best practices.
- Mentor and guide other team members, fostering knowledge of technical program management.
