Senior Financial Analyst, Data Center Build

  • 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

The Data Center Build Finance team partners with Data Center Delivery & Engineering (DCDE) business teams to deliver data center builds at the lowest possible cost. While global in nature, we align to regional leaders to enable strong partnership with the business.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive cost and operational excellence through deep technical expertise, data analysis, and business partnership to deliver insights and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Deliver financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the NPV, TCO, ROI of new technology and new data center-related investment opportunities.
  • Lead preparation and review of data center investments. Prepare deliverables, recommendations, and presentations for VP+ level reviews.
  • Manage large, complex initiatives spanning multiple organizations including but not limited to TI business partners, accounting, corporate finance, product finance, internal audit, systems, and engineering teams. 
  • Implement and maintain financial controls, actively drive performance against key metrics alongside business partners, guide the development, automation, and consolidation of financial tools to scale the Finance team and enable agility for the business. Build community for the Data Centers Build Finance team.
