Senior Silicon Operations Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience managing production relationships with foundry or turnkey chip suppliers.
  • Experience working with semiconductor fabrication technologies, yield modeling and process lifecycles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience in wafer probe card, ATE hardware, and managing suppliers on execution of test hardware development and bring-up.
  • Experience in foundry and OSAT operation management.
  • Experience in SPC as used to evaluate trends in process parameters and resultant yields.
  • Knowledge of probability and statistical fundamentals for data analysis and process control design.
  • Demonstrated success managing vendor relationships with excellent neogtiation skills in contract management.

As a Senior Silicon Operation Engineer, you will build High Quality Manufacturing flow and take it to HVM (High Volume Manufacturing). You will define, lead, and track our products operation covering HVM, NPI, ATE Test and Characterization, System level Testing, Burn In, Cost reduction and Yield improvements processes. You will deliver products in the fabless semiconductor model with deep knowledge covering the full manufacturing flow including High volume production, fab, test, DFT, package assembly, and qualification.

In this role, you will be managing supplier who provide us wafer probe and the ATE (Automated Testing Equipment) for characterization and production testing of very high performance networking and machine learning ICs. You will need to be able to negotiate the ATE equipment tools, SLT, Probe cards, sockets, OSAT related tester and parts supplier pricing and delivery schedule to meet the quality of outgoing products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for semiconductor products, incorporating market intelligence, sales data, and customer input.
  • Utilize statistical forecasting models and data analysis tools to identify trends, seasonality, and other factors impacting demand, and track forecast accuracy, identifying areas for improvement, continuously refining forecasting models and processes.
  • Work closely with engineer, design, operation, and product management teams to gather input, validate forecasts, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with supply chain and demand teams to optimize inventory levels based on demand forecasts, minimizing excess inventory and stockouts.
  • Weekly reporting to management on yield trends, fab cycle times and other operational metrics related to foundry operations.
  • Managing any allocation scenarios (either Google on allocation from suppliers, or having to allocate to customers due to unexpected demand).
