From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

In this role, you will influence the future of AI by co-creating with leading external innovators to shape the direction of AI research and product development. You will be responsible for advancing UX boundaries, developing novel product surfaces, and systematically scouting or inventing product experiences that leverage emerging AI breakthroughs in meaningful ways. Additionally, you will design futuristic prototypes and facilitate co-creation sessions with partners and external trailblazing practitioners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$233,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of next-generation AI creativity and learning tools, utilizing "vibe coding" and rapid prototyping to establish new design systems and interaction models across the organization.
  • Separate major design initiatives that set industry best practices, influencing high-level decision-making and shaping long-term product roadmaps through breakthrough visionary solutions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external experts to transform emerging AI research into tangible product surfaces and functional prototypes.
  • Integrate insights and "deep listening" exercises with practitioner communities to ensure product features are grounded in real-world needs and deliver measurable impact.
  • Operate across multiple product areas, often adopting a Product Manager (PM) mindset to drive projects from initial concept to shipped prototypes that influence business strategy.
