About the job

As an Associate Systems Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of deploying and managing Google's advanced cloud and AI technologies, including Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) and Gemini models, in complex environments. This role emphasizes the development of tools and solutions that fix classes of problems and reduce toil.

You will provide support to United States Government customers and will participate in scheduled on-call rotations for timely issue resolution. You will design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions that ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our platforms, potentially operating within air-gapped or secure environments.

You will be joining a team of engineers who specialize in building reliability and scale into new and existing solutions. Our scope takes shape around the full product life-cycle, collaborating and developing alongside our product teams, deploying and maintaining code into production environments, and providing escalation support for all customer-impacting issues. We work closely with internal partners as well as customers to maintain reliability holistically. This team serves as the highest technical escalation point for all issues within production environments and as such requires decisiveness, creativity, and a deep knowledge and perception of how various changing technologies interact.

We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.
