- Experience in IM, metal CNC, hinge, die-casting, MIM, forging, glass, painting, plating, stamping and die-cuts commodity management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA.
- 15 years of experience in global supply chain management.
- Experience in leading teams as a people manager through multi-year organizational transformation within the technology industry.
- Experience with both manufacturing and supply chain processes, leading strategy development, and sourcing or a related function.
- Excellent analysis and presentation skills.

Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
Responsibilities
- Drive all aspects of the commercial and contractual engagement with our global mechanical supply base. Manage overall Mechanical material spend and related capital investments, develop and execute global supply chain strategies.
- Manage suppliers to ensure production readiness, assurance of supply, and overall quality in support of NPI builds and sustaining operations.
- Drive close partnerships with internal partners including engineering, marketing, and operations to drive innovative, cost effective, and quality solutions that support our overall product launch and sustainability goals.
- Manage supply chain risk while creating flexible and responsive supply chain solutions. Drive cost reductions with should cost model and influence partners for cost effective supply chain solutions.
