Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
- 5 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time internationally.
- US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications related to specific cloud platforms.
- Experience implementing industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients’ cloud security frameworks using industry standards.
- Experience with mobile device management for Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience with cloud governance.
- Ability to convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
About the job
As a Google Public Sector/Mandiant Senior Security Consultant, you will engage with customers across the Department of Defense, and related Agencies, and provide expert-level cybersecurity services. Using various tools, such as Mandiant Security Validation, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively identify and mitigate cyber security threats and you will assess a customer's security environment and provide recommendations on how to enhance their security posture in support of short- and long-term projects. You will lead customer engagements and assist clients in navigating technically complex security concerns and test, assess the security posture of a customer's network, their applications, and devices by emulating offensive techniques that help them defend against threats. As an engagement lead, you will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and possess an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex security concepts to business stakeholders and executives and provide recommendations on how best to improve the customer’s security environment.Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. - Develop roadmaps and recommendations to drive client enhancements of their cloud security architecture, governance, and standards.
- Identify, incorporate, and articulate cloud security best practices such as DevSecOps strategy, Zero Trust design, and cloud incident response.
- Perform security configuration reviews for common cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms.
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop and deliver post-incident reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and assess potential threats to organizational systems and data by gathering and analyzing threat intelligence from various sources. This will include conducting vulnerability assessments, developing remediation plans, and collaborating with various teams to ensure comprehensive security integration.
