Minimum qualifications:

  • Associates Degree/Trade School completion or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years working experience in semiconductor fab, in a facility/equipment engineering or maintenance engineering role.
  • Experience working with wafer fab support equipment, PCW, PVAC, HVAC, RODI, LN2, or Gas distribution equipment.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and problem solve for wafer fab support/facility equipment, maintenance and repair.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience working in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience using environmental, electrical, or industrial controls systems.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, designing layouts and tooling, and interpreting equipment schematics.

About the job

The Raxium Facility and Equipment team maintains a broad range of semiconductor/facility equipment and cleanroom infrastructure. Our expertise lies in understanding the relationship between semiconductor processing and its support equipment, enabling us to troubleshoot problems, execute tasks, and collaborate on installing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing cleanroom and facility support equipment.

Supporting wafer fab operations, this Facilities Engineer will work closely with the contractors, vendors, equipment staff and process engineers, maintaining, improving and installing cleanroom facility support equipment. Areas of support not limited to: HVAC, MUA, RODI, PCW, chillers, boilers, vacuum, bulk gas distribution systems, material handling, all supporting cleanroom operations. They should have an understanding and ability to troubleshoot areas: electro/mechanical assemblies, robotics, pneumatics, vacuum, software controls, and should have familiarity with safety procedures, potential to give distribute hazardous materials related to gas or chemical distribution systems.
Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support tool/equipment installations, modifications, improvements, repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and repairs of cleanroom support and facility equipment.
  • Own the development of preventative maintenance procedures, schedules and training of critical tools.
  • Work closely with process and equipment engineering to improve equipment performance.
  • Support and improve on RODI, PVAC, CDA, LN2 systems, PCW, HVAC, Gas distribution systems.
