Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- 2 years of relevant work experience managing multi-group, multi-disciplinary construction projects and designs.
- Experience creating prefabrication work packages for construction.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience working with electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems or large-scale mission critical facilities.
- Experience with productivity tracking, budget and schedule management, and earned value reporting.
- Experience with breaking down electrical and mechanical design into work packages.
- Experience constructing technical facilities.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Field Integration and Assembly (FIA) is DCS's initiative to drive transformative change in pursuit of the single best way to build a data center. To get there, we’re shifting from traditional construction methods to a fully coordinated end-to-end delivery model that includes standardized assemblies, processes, procurement strategies and tools.
In this role, as a Technical Program Manager, with your technical and leadership expertise, you will manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design, manufacturing, and installation of prefabricated assemblies for data center construction in North America.
- Facilitate the creation of new pre-fabricated assemblies through electrical and mechanical work packaging/workface planning. Manage electrical and mechanical trades, supply chain vendors, and integrators.
- Gather internal requirements and deliver solutions that satisfy customer needs while maintaining end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment.
- Resolve critical issues within the matrix organization while maintaining adherence to project timelines and costs. Drive consensus and compromise while engaging with customers, cross-functional partners, and other internal organizations.
- Work independently on difficult construction issues requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of business situations. Communicate project information and updates to Googlers and leadership appropriately.
