Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in Partner Management, Business Development, Business, or Channel Development in the technology industry.
  • 3 years of experience program or partner management in an Internet or hardware company.
  • Experience in working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in hardware or software industry.
  • Knowledge of the Chrome OS ecosystem with the ability to communicate its value to external counterparts.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of management internally and externally.
  • Ability to deliver against business goals and adapt to shifting priorities in order to help teams achieve goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with partner’s and executive management.

About the job

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

In this role, you will lead the business development efforts for key Chrome OS partners. You will be the primary liaison between the partnerships team and Product. You will be responsible for implementing and optimizing relationships with hardware manufacturers (e.g., Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Original Device Manufacturers (ODMs)) in the Chrome OS ecosystem, and for designing and implementing new programs to promote the health and expansion of the ecosystems. You will be the primary partner contact for some of the partners, leading the collaboration and driving tactics designed to improve the usage and distribution of the platforms. You will also track and analyze metrics, resolve business and technical issues with the partners and identify new partnership opportunities. You will have excellent attention to detail, decision-making, risk-taking, tuned prioritization instincts, and execution-focus, communication skills. You will also require fluency with agreements through negotiating and representing Google in the course of negotiating new agreements or renewing existing agreements.ChromeOS delivers quality computing at scale to provide universal and unfettered access to information, entertainment, and tools. Responsibilities

  • Identify, create, lead, negotiate and implement business development agreements across the Chrome OS/Aluminum platform business.
  • Maintain business relationships with hardware partners and gain exposure to partner’s business initiatives to impact platform ecosystem proliferation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, develop work plans, lead analysis and develop and communicate recommendations.
  • Lead google’s business development efforts for Chrome OS globally, with a focus on key partners (e.g., OEMs, ODMs, etc.)
