I updated phone to Pixel 9. Now chrome often freezes when the page downloads. Reloading doesn't help, reload button doesn't even work. it just keeps showing an X to stop loading the page, except it doesn't work. Seems to happen on almost every other page load. Makes Chrome almost unusable. "Suggestions" from developer do not help. Clearing the cache and pausing and unpausing the app seem to be the only thing that work and even then not always.

I don't know why this dumb change was implemented but PLEASE change it, cause it is just such a nuisance that constantly causes frustration and should be easily fixable. whenever I'm on a website and I want to zoom, I will place 2 fingers in the screen and pull them apart. pretty simple really. but if I'm anywhere near the top of the screen, the app will prioritize that the screen is being pulled slightly down, causing the refresh arrow to get pulled down instead of zooming.
